5. Cooking with
induction
NOTE: familiarise yourself with induction
cooking. Cooking on induction plates is dif-
ferent to cooking on normal plates:
-
On high temperature settings, the con-
tents of the cooking vessels are heated
up a lot quicker.
-
When the temperature/power is re-
duced, the contents of the cooking vessel
react very quickly to the reduction in tem-
perature (similar to cooking with gas).
When cooking with induction, heat is gener-
ated directly in the base of the cookware by
an electromagnetic field and not in the cook-
ing zone. This saves time and energy when
cooking and frying. You need suitable ferro-
magnetic cookware to enable the energy field
to develop heat.

6. Suitable cookware

• Only use ferromagnetic cookware, which
is suitable for induction cooking zones.

7. How to use
