Note:
Only a maximum of seven ink cartridges can be
installed in the printer at any one time. Cyan,
Magenta, Yellow and Black cartridges must always be
installed. The Foil, Finish II and VPhoto Primer car-
tridges are optional.

Prepare the image to be printed

Create the data you want to print, then set the image ar-
eas to be printed in foil colours to colours that corre-
spond to the foil colours you want to use. For the
colours (and colour components) that correspond to
each foil colour, refer to the tables on page 5-12.
Note:
There are a small range of colour component values
that will be interpreted by the printer as indicating foil

colours. Because of this, photographs and other data
with many different colours may have areas that match
the foil colour designations and print only partially in
foil colour. When printing images that contain data
such as photographs, it is best to print full colour plus
foil colour using Overlay mode
In simultaneous full colour plus foil colour printing, in-
dicate the gold and silver foil colours by selecting the
corresponding colour component. For characters of 32
points or more, select the following approximate col-
ours.
