12. adjusting the balancer

WARNING :
To protect against possible personal injury due to abrupt start of the machine, be sure to start the
following work after turning the power off and ascertaining that the motor is at rest.

Disassembly
Remove two setscrews 1
of the balancer asm. Re-
move the balancer asm.
assembly
Place the balancer on the
main shaft. Temporarily fix
the retaining plate below the
cable clip with two setscrews
1 .
Set the balancer asm. and
counter weight so that they
are oriented in the same di-
rection and fix them with two
setscrews 1 .

Point
The balancer and the
w e i g h t o f t h e c o u n t e r
weight should be oriented
in the same direction.
The setscrews should be
tightened alternately.
