If You Have a Flat Tire
Emergency Rear Wheel
Removal/Installation
Refer to
Saf ety Precautions
We recommend wheel removal be done
only by your Honda dealer or another
qualified mechanic. Do not attempt to
remove the wheel on your own. Wheel
removal requires mechanical skill and
professional tools.
Removal
1.
Park your motorcycle on a firm, level
surface.
2.
Raise the rear wheel off the ground by
placing a support block under the
engine.

Loosen the rear axle nut ( ).
4.
Loosen the drive chain adjuster lock
nuts ( ) and turn the adjusting bolts ( )

so the rear wheel can be moved all the
way forward for maximum drive chain
slack.

Remove the rear axle nut ( ) and
