5. AUTOMATIC FRONT WHEEL SWIVEL LOCKS
1. Lift the Front Swivel Lock Lever until it "clicks" in, in any wheel position. The Swivel
lock will be engaged automatically when it reaches in the right position.
2. Push the Front Swivel Lock Lever down again to release the Swivel Lock.
6. USING THE HARNESS SYSTEM
1. To fasten the harness system – insert left and right side fasteners into the central
harness buckle.
2. Adjust the shoulder straps with the corresponding sliders.
3. To release fasteners squeeze the grooves on left and right side of the central
harness buckle to release the belts.
WARNING: ALWAYS USE THE CROTCH STRAP IN COMBINATION WITH THE WAIST BELT.
7. ATTACHING THE HOOD
1. Click the hood's hooks into the supports on the front tubes on left and right side
and extend the hood.
2. Close the canopy stretchers on left and right side to stretch the hood.
3. To fold back the hood, lift the back part of the stretcher.
4. To release the hood press the hooks and remove.
8. RECLINING THE SEAT
The CYBEX RUBY has two different recline positions.
1. To recline the backrest pull out the hooks on left and right side of the front
tubes.
2. Then hook them into the corresponding supports on the rear tube.
Ensure that the hooks are fastened properly before you put your child back into
the seat.
WARNING: NEVER RECLINE THE SEAT WHILE YOUR CHILD IS IN IT.
9 . FOLDING THE STROLLER
Remove all contents from the basket.
Release canopy stretchers if the hood is fitted. Ensure the hood is folded back.
1. Push the primary lock lever underneath the pedal button.
2. Lift the pushed primary lock lever to release the stretching system.
3. Push down the secondary lock lever (extended bar on right side of the locking
system)
4. Grip handles and push forward on stroller to fold it. Press folded stroller until the
storage clip is engaged. It is recommended to fasten the harness before folding
the stroller.

10 . CARRYING THE STROLLER
1. Pull the fl exible carry handle on left rear tube and lift the stroller.
11. REMOVING THE SEAT COVER
Slightly fold the stroller to reduce tension. Remove hood from stroller, if fitted.
1. Detach the seat cover's hooks from the frame on left and right side
2. Detach the seat cover's hooks of the recline system from the frame.
3. Open the press buttons behind the legrest to detach it from the frame tubes.
4. Open straps underneath the seat cover.
5. Feed the shoulder strap end sliders through the holes in the backrest.
6. Feed harness straps with fasteners through the holes in the seat cover. Take off
seat cover.
Reverse this procedure to refit the seat cover and harness.
WARNING: CHECK THAT THE SEAT UNIT IS CORRECTLY ENGAGED BEFORE USE.
12. ATTACHING THE RAINCOVER (OPTIONAL)
Extend the rain cover over the stroller like shown in the drawing.
1. Connect the rain cover to the mushroom pins at the canopy and the leg rest.
13. INSERTING THE SEAT INLAY
1. Set up the buggy and make sure that the locking devices are engaged.
2. Thread the buckles of the shoulder belts through the slits in the seat cover.
3. Place the seat inlay into the RUBY and thread the belts through the according
lower slits of the seat inlay (level with the lap belt).
4. Thread the belts through the according upper slits of the seat inlay.
5. Thread the belts together with the buckles through the upper slits of the seat
cover.
6. From below, thread the buckle lock through the according slit of the seat inlay.
7. Please make sure that the belts are not twisted and correctly run through the
seat cover slits.

V. GUARANTEE
The following warranty applies solely in the country where this product was initially
sold by a retailer to a customer. The warranty covers all manufacturing and material
defects, existing and appearing, at the date of purchase or appearing within
a term of two (2) years from the date of purchase from the retailer who initially
sold the product to a consumer (manufacturer's warranty). In the event that a
manufacturing or material defect should appear, we will – at our own discretion –
either repair the product free of charge or replace it with a new product. To obtain
such warranty it is required to take or ship the product to the retailer, who initially
sold this product to a customer and to submit an original proof of purchase (sales
receipt or invoice) that contains the date of purchase, the name of the retailer and
the type designation of this product. This warranty shall not apply in the event that
this product is taken or shipped to the manufacturer or any other person other than
the retailer who initially sold this product to a consumer. Please check the product
with respect to completeness and manufacturing or material defects immediately
at the date of purchase or, in the event that the product was purchased in distance
selling, immediately after receipt. In case of a defect stop using the product and
take or ship it immediately to the retailer who initially sold it. In a warranty case the
product has to be returned in a clean and complete condition. Prior to contacting
the retailer, please read this instruction manual carefully. This warranty does not
cover any damages caused by misuse, environmental influence (water, fire, road
accidents etc.) or normal wear and tear. It does solely apply in the event that the
use of the product was always in compliance with the operating instructions, if any
and all modifications and services were performed by authorized persons and if
original components and accessories were used. This warranty does not exclude,
limit or otherwise affect any statutory consumer rights, including claims in tort and
claims with respect to a breach of contract, which the buyer may have against
the seller or the manufacturer of the product.
