1.1 About this Instruction Manual (Application Part) This manual describes the setting methods of the following cameras from the PC via the network. IPD-BX300 (Box-type mega-pixel network camera) IPD-DM300 (Dome-type mega-pixel network camera) This document can be downloaded from the following URL.
2. Logging In and Logging Out 2.1 Logging In the Camera Start up the Internet Explorer. Enter the URL of the camera to change the setting in the address bar and press the “Enter” key. The corresponding browser is Internet Explorer 8.0. The default setting is http://192.168.1.100/.
3. Screen Configuration When logging in the camera, selecting “Live View” and “Configuration” become possible. 3.1 Displaying the Video Displaying the video is possible by clicking “Live View.” By using “Stream 1” and “Stream 2,” two different encode sizes and frame rates can be delivered simultaneously.
4. Basic Settings In the basic settings, settings of the network and video distribution are possible. Before installing this device, it is necessary to set the network. 4.1 Inforrmation It indicates the version information. Click “Information” from the menu at the left section of the screen. The system information including the firmware version, MAC address, and model name is indicated at the center of the screen.
(1) Network In order to connect this device to the LAN or the network, it is necessary to set the network. When the settings are changed, be sure to click the “SAVE” button. Without clicking the “SAVE” button, the setting cannot be saved. Item Content Default...
(2) RTSP It is set to control the communications of the video and the audio. To enable RTSP, enter the login ID, password, and the port (default: 554) and select the “ON” button. When the settings are changed, be sure to click the “SAVE” button. Without clicking the “SAVE”...
4.3 Image Parameters It sets the details of the camera. Clicking “Image Parameters” in the menu indicates the camera settings menu. (1) Codec It sets the codec. When the settings are changed, be sure to click the “SAVE” button. Without clicking the “SAVE” button, the setting cannot be saved.

Caution Clicking the “Reset to default” button returns the setting to the factory default value. (6) Privacy Zone It sets the privacy mask. Settings of the color, size, and four locations at the maximum are possible while looking at the live view screen.
4.4 Account Management Clicking “Account Management” in the menu indicates the account management menu. Changing the setting is possible when connecting this device with the administrator right. It is recommended to change these settings, so the settings can be changed only by limited people. (1) Account Setting Click “Account Setting”...
4.5 Event Settings Clicking “Event Settings” in the menu opens the motion detection function and the alarm input menu. (1) Motion Detection It sets the motion detection function. It turns on the motion detection function. Detection sensitivity can be set with “Sensitivity.” Click the “Save”...
4.6 System Settings Clicking “System Setting” in the menu opens the menu including date and time, audio input, firmware update, etc. (1) Date & Time It sets the date and time. Item Description Current Server time It indicates the current time of the device. Manual: Date/time can be input manually.
Caution Clicking the “Reset to default” button returns the setting to the factory default value. (2) Audio It sets the audio input. Turn on the audio function and click the “Save” button. (3) Fimware It updates the firmware. Click the “Reference” button and select the firmware to update. Clicking the “Upload” button starts the version up process.
(4) Initialize Initializing the setting data is possible to the factory default value. Item Description It selects NTSC/PAL. Flickering by the fluorescent light can be reduced when “NTSC” is Video Type selected for the power supply frequency of 60 Hz and “PAL” for the power supply frequency of 50 Hz.
5. Others 5.1 Troubleshooting Connecting to the camera via the Internet Explorer is not possible. The device and the PC are not properly connected via the LAN cable. Confirm that the PC and the device are connected by the LAN cable with the category 5 or higher.
