CONTROLS
Gear Selector Operation
The transmission gear selector is located on the right
side of the vehicle directly above and forward of the
engine recoil starter.
To change gears, stop the vehicle, and with the
engine idling, move the lever to the desired gear.
Do not attempt to shift gears with engine speed
above idle or while the vehicle is moving.
Always place the transmission in gear with the
parking brake locked whenever the vehicle is left
unattended.
Maintaining shift linkage adjustment is important to
assure proper transmission function. See your
dealer if you experience any shifting problems.
Shifting gears with the engine speed above idle or while the
vehicle is moving could cause transmission damage.
To change gears, stop the vehicle, and with the engine idling,
move the lever to the desired gear.

Belt Life

To extend belt life, refrain from continuous operation of the vehicle at
the point of engagement (the point at which the vehicle begins to
move). Continuous operation in this manner increases belt wear.
