THE
B2O1CD INFRARED REMOTE CONTROL
4.1
General
The
REVOX
8201 infrared remote
control
is
designed
for
con-
trolling all components of the
REVOX
hi-fi
system (integrated
amplifier
8251, FM
tuner
8261,
cassette recorder
8710 MK ll
lR,
and
the
turntables
8791/8795
Thrs
made
it
necessary, however.
to assign more than
one
f
unction
to
the remote
control
keys.
The
CD
player
is
controlled
by
the same keys
as
the
REVOX
8261 Fl\/
tuner. These keys are
located
in
the
center
field
The
lR
receiver
of
the
CD player recognizes only those commands,
for
which
the
*-key
has
been pressed concurrently
with
the correspond-
ing
function. The
CD
player acknowledges each
command
by
turning
on
the
LED
in
the
lR
window.
lf
only the
CD
player
is
to
be
operated from the remote control. the latter
can be
modified
by
a
REVOX
service agency
so
that the
*-key
does not
have
to
be
pressed.
4.2 Operating
ln the
following
illustration the
controls
are identified
with
the
same
numbers
as on
the
fold
out page
at
the
beginning
of
these
operating instructions.
Keys
with
the same
number consequent-
ly
have
the same funclion.

press
the

key
{or this function.
On
the infrared remote control
8201 CD
button

can
be ope
rated directly.
For
this
reason
it
is marked
with
PLAY/NEXT
