Performing a hard reset

You may occasionally need to reset your device, for
example if your device stops responding. You should then
perform a hard reset. To do this, slide the on/off switch
on the bottom of the device to the OFF position
6
and then back to ON.
All programs which are running will be interrupted here
and the navigation system will restart.

Memory card

An SD memory card allows you to store map data
(depending on the navigation device multimedia data
as well). These files can be detected and used by the
navigation device. For this to happen, you need to
insert an SD card with map data saved on it into the
memory card slot
on the bottom of the device.
7
The data is only detected if a hard reset is performed
after the SD card has been inserted into the device.
Attention: Removing the SD memory card during navi-
gation, but also if the device is switched off, results in
the software crashing. A hard reset may therefore be
required even after the removal of the SD card.
Note: An SD memory card may be included with some
products.
