2. Description of the
Falk F-Series device
We would like to congratulate you on purchasing your
mobile navigation system from Falk. In the explana-
tions given for all of the following topics, the hardware
components of the F-Series are repeatedly required and
they will now be presented with a brief description.
Front and back view
Battery charge indicator: During the charging

process the charge indicator glows red. It glows
white when the battery has been fully charged.
Touch Screen: Displays the Falk Navigator software.

Use your fingers or the stylus pen to tap on the
screen in order to select menu commands or enter
data.
Attention: Do not touch the display with shar-
pedged or pointed objects in order to avoid any
damage.

Magnet: Magnet for fixing the device in the

holding shell
Loudspeaker: Emits spoken instructions and

warnings.

Top and bottom
On/off switch: Switches the device on or off when you

press it.
Note: To switch on the device hold the on/off switch
for about 2 seconds - to turn the device off, hold the
on/off switch for 3 seconds.
Main power switch: Controls the main power

supply. Slide the switch to "ON" to switch on the
power supply. By sliding the switch to "OFF" you
also perform a hard reset on your device.
SD/MMC slot: Slot for receiving an SD (Secure

Digital) or MMC (MultiMediaCard) card with a
memory capacity of up to max. 2 GB.
Headphones socket/TMC antenna input: Socket

for headphones, socket for an external TMC antenna.
Mini USB cable: Socket for the USB cable for

connection to a PC or for connecting the car
charger cable.
