• The system can play the following format of
audio files:
– MP3 with file extension ".mp3".
– AAC with file extension ".m4a", ".3gp",
".mp4".
– Windows Media Audio (WMA) with file
extension ".wma".
If the audio files have the above file extension
but are not the respective formats, the system
may produce noise or may malfunction.
• Compatibility with all MP3, AAC or WMA
encoding/writing softwares, recording
devices, and recording media cannot be
guaranteed. Incompatible USB device may
produce noise or interrupted audio or may not
play at all.
• You cannot erase audio files and folders in
shuffle play mode or program play mode.
• If the folder to be erased does not contain
MP3/AAC/WMA files or contains sub
folders, these are not erased.
• USB transferring and erasing is disabled
while the disc tray is open.

Playing a tape

(Except for Latin American and
Mexican models)
You can use TYPE I (normal) tape.

Press TAPE (or FUNCTION on
the remote repeatedly to select
"TAPE").

Load a tape.
Push PUSH Z OPEN/CLOSE to open
the deck.
Load a tape
into the deck
with the side
you want to
play back
facing
upward.
Push PUSH Z OPEN/CLOSE again to
close the deck.

Press N.
The tape starts playing.
Other operations
To
Do this
Stop playback
Press x.
Pause playback Press X. Press X again to
resume playback.
Fast forward or
Press m. or
rewind
M> (or m/M on
the remote). To return to
normal playback, press
N.
Remove a tape
Push PUSH
CLOSE when playback is
stopped.
Note
To erase content of the tape, do the recording in
tape function.
