Part 1 - General Safety Information

31
32
This boiler is approved for indoor installations only and is not
32
intended for use as a pool heater. Clearance to combustible
32
materials: 6" top, 0" sides, and 18" back. Boiler must have
32
room for service: 45" front and 18" left side are minimum
recommended service clearances. (A combustible door or
32
removable panel is acceptable front clearance.) This boiler has
32
not been approved for installation on combustible flooring. Do
33
not install on carpeting. Install the boiler in a location where
33
temperature and pressure relief valve discharge or a leak will
33
not result in damage to the surrounding area. If such a location
36
is not available, install an auxiliary catch pan. Use only Category
36
IV vent systems.
37
37
Installer - Read all instructions in this manual before installing.
38
Perform steps in the given order.
38

40
FAILURE TO ADHERE TO THE GUIDELINES ON THIS PAGE
40
CAN RESULT IN SUBSTANTIAL PROPERTY DAMAGE,
40
SEVERE PERSONAL INJURY, OR DEATH.
41
NOTE: Obey all local codes. Obtain all applicable permits before
41
installing the boiler.
41
NOTE: Install all system components and piping in such a
41
manner that does not reduce the performance of any fire rated
42
assembly.
42
DO NOT USE THIS BOILER IF ANY PART HAS BEEN
42
SUBMERGED IN WATER. Immediately call a qualified
43
service technician. The boiler MUST BE replaced if it has been
43
submerged. Attempting to operate a boiler that has been
43
submerged could create numerous harmful conditions, such as
44
a potential gas leakage causing a fire and/or explosion, or the
44
release of mold, bacteria, or other harmful particulates into
45
the air. Operating a previously submerged boiler could result in
45
property damage, severe personal injury, or death.
48
NOTE: Boiler damage due to flood or submersion is considered
an Act of God, and IS NOT covered under product warranty.
