Step 5
Positioning, Leveling, and
Securing Fireplace
1. Place the fireplace into po-
sition.
2. Level the fireplace from
side to side and from front
to back.
3. Shim the fireplace with
non-combustible material,
such as sheet metal, as
necessary.
4. Secure the fireplace to the
framing by nailing or
screwing using the nailing
tabs.

The Gas Control Systems
WARNING: THIS UNIT IS NOT FOR USE

WITH SOLID FUEL.
Two types of gas control systems are used with these
models: Standing Pilot Ignition and Intermittent Pilot Ignition
(IPI).
Standing Pilot Ignition System
This system includes millivolt control valve, standing pilot,
thermopile/thermocouple flame sensor, and piezo ignitor.
WARNING: 110-120 VAC MUST NEVER BE

CONNECTED TO A CONTROL VALVE IN A
MILLIVOLT SYSTEM.
Intermittent Pilot Ignition (IPI) System
This system includes a 3V control valve, electronic
module and intermittent pilot.
WARNING: CONTINUOUS 110-120 VAC

SERVICE MUST BE WIRED DIRECTLY TO
THE FIREPLACE JUNCTION BOX IN A IPI SYSTEM.

To ensure proper
clearances the front
framing header must be
installed on its narrow
edge and to the front of
the frame.

TIBLES SOLIDES.
Deux types de système de commande de gaz sont utilisés
sur ces modèles : l'allumage par veilleuse et l'allumage
intermittent (IPI).
Système d'allumage par veilleuse
Ce système comprend une valve de commande millivolt,
une veilleuse, un détecteur de flamme à thermopile/
thermocouple et un allumeur piézo.

1. Placez le foyer à l'empla-
cement désiré.
2. Nivelez le foyer d'un côté
à l'autre et de l'avant à
l'arrière.
3. Calez le foyer à l'aide d'un
matériau non combustible,
tel que de la tôle, selon les
besoins.
4. Clouez ou vissez le foyer à
l'encadrement à l'aide des
languettes de clouage.
