Checking Vent System
Frequency: Before initial use and at least annually thereafter,
more frequently if possible.
By: Qualified service technician/Home owner.
Task: Inspect the external vent cap on a regular basis to
ensure that no debris is interfering with the flow of air. Inspect
entire vent system for proper function.
Cleaning Glass Door
Frequency: After the first 3 to 4
hours of use. As necessary after
initial cleaning.
By: Home owner.
Task: Remove and clean glass af-
ter the first 3 to 4 hours of use. Af-
ter the initial cleaning, clean as nec-
essary, particularly after adding new
ember (flame colorant) material.
Film deposits on the inside of the
glass door should be cleaned off
using a household glass cleaner.
NOTE: DO NOT handle or at-
tempt to clean the door when it
is hot and DO NOT use abrasive
cleaners.

SL-950TV-C 26 5/8 in. x 42 3/8 in.
SL-750TV-C 24 5/8 in. x 35 3/8 in.
SL-550TV-C 21 1/8 in. x 30 3/8 in.
Heat-N-Glo fireplaces manufactured with tempered glass may
be installed in hazardous locations such as bathtub enclo-
sures as defined by the CPSC. The tempered glass has been
tested and certified to the requirements of ANSI Z97.1-1984
and CPSC 16 CFR 1202. (Safety Glazing Certification Coun-
cil SGCC # 1595 and1597. Architectural Testing, Inc. Re-
ports 02-31919.01 and 02-31917.01.)
This statement is in compliance with CPSC 16 CFR Section
1201.5 "Certification and labeling requirements" which refers
to 15 USC 2063 stating "...Such certificate shall accompany
the product or shall otherwise be furnished to any distributor
or retailer to whom the product is delivered."
Some local building codes require the use of tempered glass
with permanent marking in such locations. Glass meeting
this requirement is available from the factory. Please contact
your dealer or distributor to order.

Vérification du système d'évacuation
Fréquence : Avant la première utilisation, puis au moins
une fois l'an, plus souvent si possible.
Par : Technicien de service qualifié/Propriétaire.
Tâche : Inspectez régulièrement le capuchon d'évacuation
externe afin de vérifier que la circulation de l'air ne soit pas
entravée par des débris. Inspectez l'ensemble du système
d'évacuation afin de vérifier qu'il
fonctionne correctement.
Nettoyage de la porte en verre
Fréquence : après 3 ou 4 heures
d'utilisation. Au besoin, après le
nettoyage initial.
Par : le propriétaire
Tâche : Retirer la vitre et la nettoyer
après 3 ou 4 heures d'utilisation. Après
le nettoyage initial, nettoyer au besoin,
particulièrement après l'ajout de braises
(matière colorante pour flammes). La
pellicule de dépôts à l'intérieur de la
porte en verre devrait être enlevée à
l'aide d'un nettoyant ménager pour vitre.
REMARQUE : NE PAS manipuler la

Selon la réglementation de la CPSC, les foyers Heat-N-Glo
fabriqués avec du verre trempé peuvent être installés dans
des emplacements dangereux, tels que des enceintes de
baignoire. Le verre trempé a été soumis à des essais et a
été certifié conformément aux normes ANSI Z97.1-1984 et
CPSC 16 CFR 1202 (Safety Glazing Certification Council
SGCC n os 1595 et 1597. Architectural Testing, Inc., Rapports
02-31919.01 et 02-31917.01.)
Cette déclaration est conforme à l'article 1201.5 de la CPSC
16 CFR intitulée « Certification and labelling requirements »
(« Normes de certification et d'étiquetage »), elle-même
associée à la norme 15 USC 2063 qui stipule que : « ...De
tels certificats doivent accompagner le produit ou être fournis

locaux exigent l'utilisation de verre trempé à marquage
permanent. Ce type de verre peut être obtenu de l'usine.
