Using the Optional Software
The DM-860 is compatible with Greenlee DMSC-9, an optically isolated RS-232 cable and
software. It allows measurements to be logged to a personal computer. Install the software
using standard installation procedures. Refer to the Read Me file on Disk 2 for instructions on
using the software.
Connecting the Optical RS-232
1.
Remove the cover of the optical port on the back of the meter.
2.
Align the key of the connector with the key slot on the meter.
3.
Twist the connector clockwise until it locks into place.
4.
With the PC turned off, connect the cable to COM1 or COM2 of the PC.
