Cinema Re-Equalization
Re-Equalization takes the edginess or "brightness" out of your
home cinema sound, compensating for the fact that sound mixed for
theaters will sound too bright when played back through speakers in
the home environment.
Press the Re-EQ button, the Cinema Re-Equalizer indicator appears
on the display. To cancel the Re-EQ function, press the Re-EQ but-
ton again.
The Cinema Re-EQ function is available only in Dolby Digital
and Dolby Pro Logic Surround and Multi channel input modes.
Midnight Theater
If you play a movie at a low volume at night, set this parameter to
"ON" to narrow the dynamic range of the reproduced sound to make
it easier to hear.
The Midnight Theater function works only with source material that
contains the necessary Dolby Digital information.
Press the MIDNIGHT THEATER button, the MIDNIGHT THE-
ATER indicator appears on the display. To cancel the MIDNIGHT
THEATER function, press the MIDNIGHT THEATER button
again.
The Midnight Theater function is available only in Dolby Digital
Surround mode.
Hall size
These parameters allow you to set the size of the hall/live/arena/studio.
The size can be selected from three settings, ranging from LRG/
MID/SML.
Effect Level and Reverb Level
By adjusting the level of the early reflections and reverberation of
sounds for a recording, it is possible to create the illusion of actually
being in a hall without leaving your living room.
Effect Level: Adjusts the early reflection level. Raising the setting
increases the effect sound level. You can select from seven settings
between 0.4 and 1.6.
Reverb Level: Adjusts the level of only the reverb (not the early
reflections). Raising the setting increases the reverb sound level. You
can select from three settings between 0.6 and 1.4.
