INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS

WARNING! Risk of serious injury or death due
to electrical shock.
The appliance MUST be properly grounded. Ground-
ing reduces the risk of electrical shock if the appliance
housing becomes energized.
WARNING! Risk of serious injury or death due
to fire.
The appliance MUST be connected to a dedicated
15 amp circuit separate from other electrical appli-
ances. The overcurrent protection MUST be rated
at 15 amps.
NOTICE: The life of the appliance may be significantly
shortened if operated on an incline.
The maximum incline angle upon which the appliance
rests MUST be no more than two degrees.

Tools and Parts

Gather the required tools and parts before attempting
installation. The parts included with the appliance are
in the drum. Other items required for installation are
the responsibility of the installer.
● Items included:
● (2) Water hoses
● (3) Brackets
● (4) Transport bolts
● (1) Template
● Items NOT included:
● 1/4" nut driver
● 3/8" open end wrench
● 7/16" socket with ratchet
● 3/8" socket with ratchet
● Adjustable 9/16" open-end wrench
● Channel-lock adjustable pliers
● Carpenter's level
● Flexible screw driver extension
● Cable tie
● Screws
● Siphon break (if required)

Location Requirements

Selecting the proper location for your appliance im-
proves performance, minimizes noise and possible
appliance movement. Your appliance can be in-
stalled under a custom counter, closet, or recessed
area. See "Drain System Options" (Page 8). Proper
installation is the qualified installer's responsibility.
● Required Items:
● A water heater set to deliver 120–140°F
(49–60°C) water to the appliance.
● A grounded electrical outlet located within 3
ft. (1 m) of where the power cord is attached
to the back of the appliance. See "Electrical
Requirements".
● Hot and cold water faucets located within 3
ft. (1 m) of the hot and cold water fill valves,
and water pressure of 20–100 psi (137.9–
689.6 kPa).
● A level floor with a maximum slope of 2° (25
mm) under the entire appliance.
● A sturdy and solid floor to support the appli-
ance's total weight (water and load) of 200 lbs.
Installing the appliance on soft floor surfaces,
such as carpets or surfaces with foam backing,
is NOT recommended.
● Do NOT operate or store your appliance in
temperatures below 32°F (0°C). Some water
can remain in the appliance and cause dam-
age in low temperatures.

Installation Clearances

● The location MUST be large enough to allow the
appliance door to be fully opened.
● Additional spacing should be considered for ease
of installation and servicing. The door opens more
than 90°, and it is NOT reversible (Fig. 1).
● Additional clearances might be required for wall,
door, and floor moldings.
● Spacing of 1 inch (2.5 cm) on all sides of the ap-
pliance is required (Fig. 2).

Electrical Requirements

WARNING! Risk of serious injury or death due
to electrical shock, fire, or explosion if the following
instructions are NOT followed.
● A 120V/60Hz, AC only, fused electrical supply is
required. A time-delay fuse or a circuit breaker
serving only this appliance MUST be provided.
● This appliance is equipped with a power supply
cord that has a 3-prong grounding plug.
