    • When locating your grill, choose a safe outdoor location away from flammable or combustible surfaces and out of traffic paths. Ducane ® strongly recommends a 24" clearance to combustible surfaces and 120" (10 feet) to any fuel containers or propane cylinders.
  • Page 18 Limited portability can be afforded to the grill head when mounted on the portable cart. All grill heads mounted on this portable cart and cabinet model grills so equipped can be moved about 10 feet away from the main gas supply. Ducane recommends moving the Flare Union grill at least two (2) feet from the gas supply and any combustible surfaces.

For best results with faster cooking foods like steaks, burgers and chops, etc., we recommend using finer wood chips because they ignite and create smoke faster. For longer cooking foods such as roasts, chicken and turkeys, etc., we recommend using larger wood chips because they ignite slowly and provide smoke for a longer period of time.
