5.8 Troubleshooting

This section provides an overview of tools available to assist with problem resolution for the
X6 servers in any given configuration. It also provides considerations for extended outages.
Use the following tools when troubleshooting problems on the X6 servers in any configuration.

5.8.1 Integrated Management Module (IMM)

The first place to start troubleshooting the X6 servers is typically the IMM. To connect to the
IMM2 refer to 7.2, "Integrated Management Module II (IMM2)" on page 201. After logging in,
the first page is the System Status page, as shown in Figure 5-75.

From this page, you can check the power status of the server and state of the OS.
You can also view the System Information such as name, machine type, serial number, and
state of the machine.
The Hardware Health of your system is also on this page, which monitors, fans, power, disk,
processors, memory, and system.
Clicking the individual hardware will allow you to view further information about the selected
component and read any errors that have occurred. If a hardware error has occurred it will be
indicated with a red X in place of the green tick.
From the IMM, you can also access the hardware logs. From the main menu at the top of the
panel, click Events  Event log, to access a full log history of all events.
