Battery recharge
Problem
"Recharge battery" is
displayed, 7 flashes
or the handset beeps
intermittently.
"Charge for 6h" and
8 are displayed and
the handset does not
work.
I charged the battery fully,
but "Recharge
battery" is still
displayed and/or 7
continues to flash, or
"Charge for 6h" and
8 are displayed.
The CHARGE indicator
does not go out after the
battery has been
charged.
The handset display is
blank.
Power failure
Problem
The unit will not function.
Cause & solution
L Fully charge the battery (page 15).
L The battery has been discharged. Fully charge the
battery (page 15).
L Clean the charge contacts and charge again (page 14).
L The battery may need to be replaced (page 16). If you
install a new battery, fully charge it (page 14).
L This is normal.
L Confirm that the battery is properly installed.
L Fully charge the battery (page 14).
Cause & solution
L This product is not designed to make calls in the event
of a power failure. We recommend connecting a
standard telephone to the same telephone line in the
event that emergency calls need to be made during a
power failure (page 9).
