NOTE
If all power supply modules are functioning and all power cables from the
power distribution board are properly connected to the baseboard and other
components, but the server still won't power on, replace the power supply bay
(page 80).

Removing a Power Supply Module

To remove a power supply module:
1. Remove the bezel (page 30).
2. Loosen the captive screw that retains the power supply module.
CAUTION
To avoid damaging the module, do not tilt or twist the power supply module
as you pull it from the power supply bay. The module disengaging from its
connector causes the initial resistance you will feel. Use even, steady force to
remove the supply.
3. While pressing down on the locking tab, grasp the handle and carefully pull the module out of
the power supply bay.
4. If you are not going to install a replacement module, you must install a filler panel in the
vacant slot.
5. Install the bezel.
