Use the following list of alert script language symbols when composing alerts.

Description
Increases a note duration or rest by 50 percent.
Increases volume one level (up to level 9).
Decreases volume one level.
Sharps the preceding note.
Specifies the octave for the note. The default octave is
5. The middle C octave is 4.
Indicates the volume level. a0 is silent, and a9 is the
highest volume.
Flats the preceding note.
Represents an eighth note.
Specifies that all occurrences of a certain note should
be flatted in the entire alert.
Represents a half note.
