    About your Dell DSS 1500 The Dell DSS 1500 is a rack server that supports two processors based on the Intel Xeon EP E5-2600 v3 family, up to 16 DIMMs, and up to four hard drives. The DSS 1500 systems are available in the following configurations: Table 1.

    Custom, the BIOS automatically sets the rest of the options. You can only change the rest of the options if the mode is set to Custom. This option is set to Performance Per Watt Optimized (DAPC) by default. DAPC is Dell Active Power Controller.

    General memory module installation guidelines Your system supports Flexible Memory Configuration, enabling the system to be configured and run in any valid chipset architectural configuration. The following are the recommended guidelines for installing memory modules: • x4 and x8 DRAM based DIMMs can be mixed. For more information, see Mode-specific guidelines.

The purpose of running system diagnostics is to test your system hardware without requiring additional equipment or risking data loss.
