Chapter 5
Solution: Wait until the card slot is no longer being used by the computer.
"CARD READER ERROR"
Cause: Thre is a problem with the card slot.
Solution: (1) Switch to another mode or turn the machine OFF and ON.
(2) Check the connection between the multi-card board and the SPCNT board.
(3) Replace the multi-card board.
(4) Replace the SPCNT board.
"CARD READER OFFLINE"
Cause: The card slot may not be receiving any power.
Solution: (1) Remove the memory card from the card slot, turn the power OFF and ON again, then reinsert the
memory card.
(2) Check the connection between the multi-card board and the SPCNT board.
(3) Replace the multi-card board.
(4) Replace the SPCNT board.
"CARTRIDGE JAMMED"
Printing position correction failed.
Cause: Carriage movement prevented by one of the followings:
Damaged shaft
Parts deformed. (Carriage or guide frame)
Insufficient grease
Solution: Replace the shaft.
Replace the deformed parts.
Apply more grease.
Cause: Bi-directional print displacement correction failed because the carriage motor is out of step, or some similar
reason.
Solution: Replace the carriage motor.
Home position error
Cause: Tried to stop the carriage unit that has been moving or to move the carriage unit at a pouse by force.
Solution: Do not touch the carriage unit other than cartrige replacement position.
Cause: Foreign body in carriage section.
Solution: Open flatbed ass'y and remove the foreign body.
Cause: Loose carriage belt.
Solution: Replace the carriage belt.
