System
The built-in ventilationsystemremovescookingvapors,odorsand smokefrom foods
preparedon the cooktop,grill and grillaccessories.
Regular use of this systemwill insure a more comfortableand less humid kitchen
which is free of heavy cooking odors and fumes that normally create a frequent
needfor cleaningand redecorating,
Using
the Ventilation
System
To operate the ventilationsystemmanually, push
thefan symbolon thethree position VENTILATION
AND OVEN LIGHT SWITCH locatedin frontof the
air grille. To turn the fan off, push the switch to
the middle position.If the light symbol is pushed,
the oven lightwill be turned on.
The ventilationsystem w(It operateautomatically when the grill element is
in use.
Besidesusing the ventilation systemto removecook{ngvapors and fumes,
it can be used to cool baked pies, cakes or hot cookpots.To cool an item,
set it on the air grille and turn on the fan. The air being pulled over the
item will quickly cool it. Be careful not to cover the oven vent or the entire
air grille.
The fan can be used to remove strong odors from the kitchen as when
choppingonionsnear the fan.
Cleaning

The air grille lifts off easily. Wipe clean or wash in sink with mild
household detergents.Maybe cleanedin dishwasher. N OTE:The ovenventislocated
under the gri|le. When using or cleaning the oven, hot
and moistair may be noticed in this area, Be careful not
to sp(f(anything into this vent.
]E_Lltcr:Turn off ventilation systembefore removing.The
filter is a permanenttype and should be cleaned when
soiled.Clean in sinkwith warmwaterand liquiddishwash-
ing detergentor in dishwasher.
IMPORTANT: Filter shouldalways be placed at an angle. As you face the front
of the range,the top of the filter should restagainstthe left side of the vent opening
and the bottom of the filter should rest againstthe right side of the ventilation
chamber at the bottom. DO NOT OPERATESYSTEM WITHOUT FILTER.

This area, which houses the filter, shou(dbe cleaned
in the event of spills or whenever it becomescoated with a film of grease. May
be cleanedwith papertowel, damp cloth or spongeand mild householddetergent.
