ENGINE OPERATION

2. Warming up the engine

Warm the engine at low engine speeds
for about three minutes. This allows the
lubricating oil to circulate to all parts
of the engine. Operating the engine
without warm up shortens the engine's
life.
Be sure to check that cooling water is
coming out of the cooling water check
port during warm up.
!
If the engine is operated without water
5
discharging from the check port or idle
port, the engine may over heat.
!
Be sure to stop engine immediately
if cooling water check port is not
discharging water, and check if cooling
water intake is blocked. Operating
engine could lead to overheating
potentially leading to engine damage.
Consult an authorized dealer if the
cause cannot be found.
