Proto-Cast:
Allows you toplay audio recordingsthroughyourengine'sspeakers. You
mustsupply the audio source (a small portable CD/tape player is
sufficient) andamale-to-male mini cable (1/8"plug,like that usedforthe
headset withaportableCD/tapeplayer)toconnectyouraudio source to
the remote lock-on.

Adjust the volume. Ifenginesoundskeepbreaking throughtherecorded sounds,
increase the volume ontheaudiosource.

speakinto the microphone.

When these featuresare inuse,thelocomotive'sown sounds (engine sounds and bells,
whistles, and horns)will be mutedsothatonlythesoundsyou broadcast will beheard.
Because these two features are voice activated, there will be a severalsecond delay after
youstop speaking intothemicrophoneorturn offtheaudiosourcebeforetheengine
sounds resume. To stop usingthefeatureandreturnto normal operation, unplugthe cable
from the lock-onjack.
Ifusingparallel tracks with multiple Loco-Sound-equippedengines, Proto-Castand
Proto-Dispatch transmissionsfrom onetrack maybepickedupby the other nearby
engines.
