5. MAINTENANCE

Do not touch rotating blade.
Stop the engine and unplug the spark plug before doing any repairs or maintenance.
For four stroke engines, check regularly the oil level and add some oil or replace it if
necessary.
Frequently check the tiller and ensure that all deposits are removed from the tilling
blade.
Regularly lubricate the wheel bearings with a suitable lubricant.
For security and condition - Check the blade, in order to obtain a good cut, the blade
should always be sharp and well balanced. At regular intervals, check the tightness of
all nuts, bolts and screws.
If the blade hits an obstacle, stop the tiller, assess for damage. If beyond safe repair
you must replace it.
Refuel in a well-ventilated area with the engine off.
Whilst carrying out maintenance you must wear correct PPE,

5.1. Cleaning.
5.1.1. Keep the machine clean. Do not use chemical solvent to clean it.
