The following are the minimum computer requirements you need to set up and operate the MFC
drivers.

Use only a shielded parallel interface cable that is IEEE-1284 compliant and/or a
USB cable that is no longer than 6 feet long ( 1.8 meters).

To install the software using Windows NT
2000 Professional, you must be logged on as the Administrator.

Unplug the MFC power cord from the electrical outlet before connecting the parallel interface
cable.

Make sure the computer is turned off and unplugged from the electrical power before you
connect the interface cable.

Connect the parallel interface cable to the parallel interface port of the MFC and secure the wire
clips.
When you connect the MFC to your computer you must use the included Brother
bi-directional IEEE-1284 compliant parallel cable.
