Connection to water supply

The machine should be connected to a
mains water supply in accordance with
standard regulations. In Germany the
washing machine is not required to
have a non-return valve as it has been
designed to comply with the relevant
German DIN standard.
Connection to the mains water supply
should incorporate a mains stopcock
with 3/4'' thread. The stopcock should
be fitted by a qualified plumber.
The approx. 1.5 m long
hose should be connected to the stop-
3
cock via the
/
" threaded union.

This pressure hose is not suitable for
connection to a hot water supply.
Please make sure the washer sits cor-
rectly in the union.
The connection point is subject to
mains water pressure. Turn on the stop-
cock slowly and check for leaks.
If replacing the inlet hose only use
genuine Miele hoses. These are
tested to withstand pressure of at
least 70 bar. This also applies to all
fixtures and fittings used.

Installation and connection
Longer hoses 2.5 or 4 metres in length
are available as optional extras.
The machine is designed to operate
with a water flow pressure of 1 bar mini-
mum up to 10 bar maximum. The static
water pressure must not exceed 10 bar.
If it is higher than 10 bar it is essential
to fit a reducer valve.
There is a minimum flow pressure of 1
bar pressure if 5 litres of water flow into
a suitable container in 15 seconds.
The two dirt filters - one in the open end
of the inlet hose, one at the inlet point in
the solenoid valve must not be re-
moved.
