6. Tap if you want to insert a photo.
7. Select and tap a picture from your gallery, adjust the size of
the picture and tap Save.
8. Tap Done. Your status is displayed on the top of the screen.
Inviting a friend to chat with
1. Tap Talk from the applications menu.
2. Press and tap Add friend.
3. Enter the user name of the friend you want to add.
4. Tap Send invitation.
Text chatting with friends
1. Tap Talk from the applications menu.
2. Select and tap one of friends that appear on the screen.
3. Enter a message and tap Send.
4. Press and tap Add to chat if you want another friend to
join the conversation.
5. Press and tap More > Insert smiley, and select and tap
one.
6. Press and tap End chat if you want to stop chatting with
your friend.
Video chatting with friends
1 Tap Talk from the applications menu.
2 Tap next to the contact.
3 Tap the following option icons during the video chatting.
- : Moves to the text chatting window.
- : Mutes the sound on a video chat.
- : Changes the camera to use from the front camera to
the rear camera, and vice versa.
Note Then user may be charged for this service.
Managing your friends list
1. Tap Talk from the applications menu.
2. Press and tap More.
3. Tap Invites. You can check pending invitations.
Setting the talk environment
1. Tap Talk from the applications menu.
2. Press and tap Settings.
3. Adjust the following setting options.
- Sign in automatically: Sets to remain signed-in for Talk.
- Mobile indicator: Sets to check friends on a mobile device.
- Automatic away status: Sets status to away when the
screen is turned off.
- Clear search history: Clears previous Google Talk chat
searches from showing up in the search box.
- Invitation notifications: Sets to notify in status bar when
friend invitations are received.
- Notifications: Sets to notify when text or video chat is
received.
- Ringtone: Assigns a ringtone for notifications.
- Vibrate: Sets the vibrate mode for an incoming
notification among Always, Only when silent, and Never.
