B. Decorator Panel Specifications for Framed Models
Decorator panels for framed models cover the door trim for an
attractive, seamless look that flows into the overall design of the
room. Framed models include full-length extruded handles (unlike
overlay models). Attention must be paid to hand clearance, or
the depth of space
between the decorator
panel and the built-in han-
dle. (See fig. 12 and fig.
13 on page 20 for more
information.)
This application is often
accomplished by using
three panels: the decorative
front panel, a spacer panel
of .10-inch thickness, and a
1/4-inch backer panel.
Other options to achieve
this look, such as using one
panel routed for different
dimensions, may be avail-
able from your cabinet
manufacturer.
Jenn-Air offers 42" and
48" dispenser and non-
dispenser models with
the framed design.
