Tire Pressure
B e f o r e o p e r a t i n g , c h e c k t i r e p r e s s u r e a n d r e d u c e p r e s s u r e i n

NOfE: lf the tire pressure is not equal in both tires, the machine
may not travel in a straight path and the shave plate may wear
u n e v e n l y .

engine. You must, however, check the oil level orior
to operating the snow thrower. Running the engine
w i t h i n s u f f i c i e n t o i l c a n c a u s e s e r i o u s e n g i n e

NOIE: Be sure to check the engine on a level surface with the
e n g i n e s t o p p e d .

Insert the cap/dipstick into the oil filler neck, but do nor
s c r e w i t i n .
Remove the oil filler cap/dipstick. lf the level is low, slowly
a d d o i l u n t i l o i l l e v e l r e g i s t e r s b e r w e e n h i g h ( H ) a n d l o w

Adding Fuel

A fuel level indicator is located in the fr-rel tank. Fill tanx
until fuel reaches the fuel level indictor, Fiq. 3-9. Be careful
n o t t o o v e r f i l l .

Fuel Recommendations

Refuel in a well-ventilated area with the engine stopped.

Do not overfill the fuel tank. After refueling, make sure the
t a n k c a p i s c l o s e d p r o p e r l y a n d s e c u r e l y .

Be careful not to spill fuel when refueling. Spilled fuel or
f u e l v a p o r m a y i g n i t e . l f a n y f u e l i s s p i l l e d , m a k e s u r e t h e
area is dry before starting the engine.

Avoid repeated or prolonged contact with skin or
breathing ofvapor.
