When the drive control is released and in the disenqaqed
,,up,,
lf the chute assembly does not have full range from left-to-right,
position, the cable should have very little slack. lt rl.to,]tO lOf O"
the chute control cables can be adjusted to take up slack:

NOIE: lf excessive slack is present in the drive cable or if the
operation, the cable may be in need of adjustment.
Check the adiustment of the drive control as follows:

Engage the drive control and gently attempt to push the
snow thrower forward. The wheels should not turn. The
u n i t s h o u l d n o t r o l l f r e e l y .

With the drive control released, move the shift lever back
and forth between the R2 position and the F6 position
s e v e r a l t i m e s . T h e r e s h o u l d b e n o r e s i s t a n c e i n t h e s h i f t
lever.
4 .
l f a n y o f t h e a b o v e t e s t s f a i l e d , t h e d r i v e c a b l e i s i n n e e d o f
adjustment. Proceed as follows:

L o o s e n t h e l o w e r h e x n u t o n t h e d r i v e c a b l e b r a c k e t . S e e

downward to increase cable tension).

Retighten the upper hex nut.
