Poor satellite reception

The number of satellites is greater than zero, and the
PIDD has acquired a signal from each satellite listed, but
has not calculated a position or the position is not very
accurate.
1. A HDOP number of 100 and no lat/lon indicates no
position has been calculated. If a valid lat/lon number
is indicated, but the HDOP number is still high (>5),
the position will not be very accurate. The speed
indication on the display will jump around and the
position at rest in the map screen will jump around.
This could be due to poor visibility of the sky, electrical
interference or a defective antenna.

Good satellite reception

Typically you will see more than 4 satellites and HDOP
numbers less than 2.
