The Tape Deck
Recording on a tape
manually
You can record from CD, tape, or radio as
you like. For example, you can record just the
songs you want or record from the middle of
the tape. The recording level is adjusted
automatically.

Insert a recordable tape into deck B.

Press the function button of the
source you want to record (e.g.,
CD).

Press REC PAUSE/START.
Deck B stands by for recording. H (for
the front side) lights.

Press DIRECTION repeatedly to
select G to record on one side.
Select j (or RELAY) to record on
both sides.

Press REC PAUSE/START.
Recording starts.

recorded.

Tips
• If you want to record from the reverse side, press
h so that h (for the reverse side) lights.
• When you want to reduce the hiss noise in low-
level high-frequency signals, press DOLBY NR
after pressing REC PAUSE/START in step 3 so
that "DOLBY NR" lights.
• When recording from a CD, you can use the jog
dial to select tracks during recording pause mode
(after pressing REC PAUSE/START in step 3 and
before pressing again in step 5).
Note
Dolby NR turns off and DIRECTION (G or
RELAY) is j when the mains supply is turned off.
