Checking brake and clutch fluid level

The level must not fall below the MIN mark on the
corresponding reservoirs (fig. 45 and fig. 46).
If level drops below the limit, air might get into the circuit
and affect the operation of the system involved.
Brake and clutch fluid must be topped up and changed at
the intervals specified in the routine maintenance chart
E
(see Warranty Card) by a Ducati Dealer or Authorized
Workshop.
Important
It is recommended that all brake and clutch lines be
changed every four years.
Brake system
If you find excessive play on brake lever or pedal, and
brake pads are still in good condition, contact a Ducati
Dealer or Authorized Workshop to have the system
inspected and any air drained out of the circuit.
Warning
Do not spill any brake and clutch fluid on the
paintwork or on plastic parts or they will be damaged.
Hydraulic oil is corrosive; it can cause damage and injuries.
Never mix different quality oils.
Check for joint proper sealing.
