Access the Barometer Mode Display.
With the temperature on the top row of the display,
• Press and Hold ▲ to toggle between F˚ / C˚
• Press ▼ to change inHG, mb, and hPA

11.0 COMPASS MODE

The digital compass provides check of your direc-
tion. To obtain the most accurate compass bearing,
be sure to calibrate the compass often. Make sure
that you are not using it near a magnetic field.

11.1 Compass Display

Access Compass Mode.
Display Features:
Center: Heading degree and
cardinal direction
Outer Ring: Magnetic North

11.2 Compass Use

Keep the watch parallel to the horizon. The compass
reading will flash if there is any distortion. Be sure
that the watch is away from magnets and objects or
appliances that contain magnets such as speakers,
motors and cell phones.
Calibrate the compass often, especially when:
* You are using the watch for the first time
* You have recently replaced the battery
* Bearing reading is flashing
* Your angle of declination has changed

11.3 Compass Idle Refresh

To conserve battery power, the compass will go idle
(sleep mode) 1 minute after use.
• Press ▲ or ▼ to wake the compass

11.4 Take a Reverse Bearing

The compass provides a reverse bearing for a distant
landmark. This bearing is the exact 180° opposite of
a forward bearing. Reverse bearings are useful for
orienteering exercises such as the triangulation used
to determine your whereabouts in the wild.
Access the Compass Display.
• Press ▲ to obtain a reverse bearing
• Press ▲ again to return to normal bearing

11.5 Lock the Compass Bearing

The compass allows you to lock a bearing. Once the
