Start-up

AttEntIon!
❐ Always disconnect the mains plug before performing any work on the device!
❐ The saw blade may be very hot after sawing. Afterwards allow it to cool off before you
change it.
❐ Risk of injury! The saw blades are sharp!

Setting the saw depth

• When sawing wood or plastic workpieces, the saw depth should be somewhat
greater than the thickness of the applicable workpiece.
• When sawing metal workpieces, the saw depth should be at least 1.0 mm greater
than the applicable workpiece.
• If a plastic workpiece starts to melt while sawing, increase the saw depth.
• To prevent damage to the surface under the workpiece, the saw depth can be also
adjusted to the material thickness. However, this may produce raw saw edges.
1. Loosen the adjusting screw.
2. Set the depth stop to the required saw depth. The saw depth set can be read off of the scale.
The long dashes on the scale correspond to whole millimetres and the short dashes to half
millimetres.
3. If necessary, tighten the adjusting screw again.
