❐ Only take hold of the device by the insulated handle areas if you are performing work, where
there is a risk of contact with concealed electrical lines or the mains cord of the device.
Contact with a voltage-carrying line also subjects the metal parts of the device to voltage.
❐ Do not use the cord for purposes other than the intended one, such as for carrying the
device, hanging it up or for pulling the plug out of the socket. Keep the cord away from heat,
oil, sharp edges or moving parts of the device.
❐ If you are working with a device outdoors, only use extension cords, which are also suitable
for outdoor use.
❐ If working with the device in a moist environment cannot be avoided, use a fault-current
circuit breaker.

Safety of persons

❐ Keep children and pets away from the packaging. Danger of suffocation exists!
❐ Exercise caution! Be careful, pay attention to what you are doing and approach work with
the device in a reasonable manner. Do not use the device if you are tired or under the
influence of drugs, alcohol or medication.
❐ Wear suitable clothing such as long trousers, a long-sleeved shirt and shoes with non-slip
soles. Do not wear baggy clothing or jewellery. Keep hair, clothing and gloves away from the
moving device parts.
❐ Always wear safety goggles. Wearing other safety equipment such as a dust mask, hard hat
and ear protection further reduces the risk of injury.
❐ Heavy protective clothing may lead to earlier onset of fatigue and a risk of heat stroke. Take
care of difficult work in the early morning or later in the evening when the temperature is
not too high.
❐ Before using the device for the first time, familiarise yourself with the device. Be absolutely
sure that you know how to deactivate the device.
❐ Avoid accidentally activating the device. Ensure that the device has been deactivated before
you connect it to the power supply and before you pick it up or carry it. Keep your fingers
away from the On / Off switch.
❐ Remove the adjusting tools or screw keys before you activate the device.
❐ Keep all body parts away from the saw blade before activating the device and when using it.
Do not attempt to remove the workpiece from the teeth of the saw blade when the saw
blade is running. Only remove a jammed workpiece when the device is deactivated and the
mains plug has been pulled!
❐ Wait until the device has come to a stop before setting it down. Ensure that the protective
shield covers the saw blade.
❐ There is a cutting hazard, even if the saw blade is stationary! Always use suitable safety gloves
when changing the saw blade.
❐ Ensure that you maintain a safe distance. Keep your hands away from the sawing area and the
saw blade. Firmly hold the saw with both hands to prevent injury.
❐ Do not work above eye level.
