Safety instructions

Proper use

❐ This device is designed for sawing wood, plastics and non-ferrous metals (e. g. aluminium). It
is only suitable for sawing in straight lines. The processing of ferrous metals is not permitted
with this device.
❐ The device is intended for domestic, not commercial, use.
❐ Only use the device as described in these instructions. Any other use is deemed improper.
Improper use, modifications to the device or the use of parts, which have not been tested
and approved by the manufacturer, may result in unforeseeable damages!
❐ Any instance of improper use and / or all activities with the device not described in these
instructions and failure to observe the safety notices and other notices in these instructions
constitute impermissible improper use, which is not covered by the liability limits of the
importer and manufacturer.
❐ This device is not suitable for use by persons (including children) with restricted sensory
or intellectual abilities or with a lack of experience and / or knowledge unless they are
supervised by a person responsible for their safety or have received instructions from that
person as to how to use the device. Children must be under supervision to ensure that they
do not play with the device.

Work area safety

❐ Keep your work area clean and well lit. Disorder or unlit work areas may result in accidents.
❐ Do not use the device in areas with a risk of explosion or in areas where flammable liquids,
gases or dusts are present. The device produces sparks that may ignite the dust or gases.
❐ Keep children and pets away from the device.

Electrical safety

❐ To prevent electric shocks, keep the device away from rain and moisture.
❐ Only connect the device to a properly installed socket with protective earth contacts. The
socket must also be easily accessible after the appliance has been connected. The mains
voltage must correspond to the technical data of the appliance (see chapter "Technical
data"). Only use proper extension cords, whose technical data correspond to those of the
device.
❐ The connector plug must fit the socket. The plug may not be modified in any way.
❐ Ensure that the connected mains cord does not pose a trip hazard. Do not allow the cord
to hang over the edge of a table or kitchen worktop. Someone could catch him / herself and
pull down the device.
❐ Lay the device cable such that it is not crushed or creased and such that it does not come
into contact with hot surfaces or water.
❐ Avoid coming into physical contact with earthed surfaces such as pipes, radiators, stoves and
refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electrical shock if your body is grounded.
