  • Page 4 General safety rules for your protection and the protection of others Portable Power Tools Caution: When using electric tools, the following safety rules should always be adhered to in order to avoid the risk of fire, electric shock, and personal injury. 1. Keep the work area clean. Cluttered surfaces and tables invite accidents. 2. Do not use the machine in a hazardous environment. Electric devices should not be used on damp, wet surfaces or in rain. Assure that the lighting is sufficient in the work area. Assure there is good ventilation when engaging in dusty tasks. Never use electric machines/tools where they may cause fire or explosion. 3. Avoid electric shock. Avoid physical contact with grounded items such as water lines, radiators, kitchen stoves, etc. while using electric machines/tools.
  • Page 5 12. Fasten the workpiece securely. Use clamps or screw clamps where possible to allow you to handle the workpiece with both hands. This is safer than holding the workpiece with one hand. 13. Do not overreach. Make sure you always stand firmly and well-balanced. 14. Maintain the tools. Assure they are clean and that the blades are sharp to achieve the optimal effect and a safe result. Follow the recommendations in the manual pertaining to greasing and replacement of parts. Check the power cord regularly, and if it is damaged it should be replaced by a qualified service technician. Check all extension cords regularly to make sure they are not damaged. Make sure the handles of the machine/tool and levers are clean, dry, and completely free of oil, grease, etc. 15. Turn off the power. Unplug the device and push the emergency brake, if there is one, before service and when replacing parts such as planing irons, drill bits, sanding belts, or blades. 16. Remove all keys and service tools. Make it a habit to verify that all spanners and service tools are removed from the machine before turning on the power. 17. Avoid unintentional start. Do not carry a tool with your finger on the power switch if it is plugged in. Assure the power switch is OFF when plugging in the device. 18. Use the correct extension cords. If using extension cords outdoors, use only those intended for outdoor use.
  • Page 6 Special safety rules for the compound mitre saw Caution: Unplug the power cord before service or when replacing a blade. Assure that all parts operate appropriately and that the safety features protect as intended before starting the saw. 1. Caution: Use only cutting blades. Make sure that tungsten carbide blades have negative teeth. Do not use blades with deep spaces between the teeth as such can bend and come in contact with the blade guard. A damaged saw blade must immediately be replaced. 2. Do not use the saw until it is completely and accurately assembled according to this operations manual. Verify the rotation direction of the motor and the blade (see the rotation arrow on the blade guard.) Make certain that the saw blade does not touch the rotation table in any setting. Unplug the power cord and lean the saw blade manually at 45° and 90°. Adjust if needed. 3. Unless you understand how the saw is to be used, you should ask a knowledgeable person for advice. 4. Never saw freehanded. Fasten the workpiece securely against the fence in an appropriate manner before beginning to saw. If the workpiece you are sawing requires that you keep your hand as close as 10 cm from the blade, you should always lock the workpiece in place with a clamp or similar before sawing.
  • Page 7 17. Assure that the blade can rotate freely (especially after transport and/or blade replacement) before plugging in the saw and starting it. 18. Never lock the switch in the ON position. 19. Caution: When you have cut clear through the workpiece, release the power switch and wait until the blade has stopped rotating before lifting up the saw head. 20. Release the power switch and wait until the blade has stopped before moving the workpiece or changing settings. 21. Do not remove stuck or cut-off pieces until the blade has stopped. 22. Never saw through ferrous metals or through brick or mortar. 23. Never use the saw in the proximity of highly inflammable gases or liquids. 24. Never clean the plastic parts of the saw with a solvent. Solvents may melt the plastic or damage the material in other ways. Only clean with a soft, damp cloth. 25. Unplug the power cord and clean the saw before leaving it. Assure that the work space is clean when finishing the work. 26. Save this operations manual. Read through it often and use it to instruct others. Make sure that all persons using the saw read these instructions. 27. Do not expose the saw to rain and do not use it in damp environments. 28. Arrange for good lighting in the work area. 29. Use suitable work clothes. Loose hanging clothing or jewellery may get caught in the rotating parts. 30. A user should be at least 18 years of age. Users below the age of 16 should be supervised by an instructor while using the saw. Keep children away from the saw while it is connected to a power source. 31. Keep your work place orderly and do not allow debris or other garbage to be present unnecessarily. Assure that the waste can be removed from the saw blade, or it may be dispersed by the saw blade. 32. Do not distract people operating the saw. 33. Do not attempt to stop the blade by pushing something against the side of the blade after you have turned off the power to the saw. 34. Never use saw blades that do not correspond to the specifications in the manual. 35. It is important to check that all blade guards covering the saw blade are functioning well. 36. Never lock the protective cover in an open position and never disassemble the cover of the machine and do not change its function. Never use a damaged or faulty safety device, but replace it immediately. 37. Be sure to place your hands safely, so that they do not slip in under the saw blade of you lose your balance. Never saw through workpieces so small that they cannot safely be held. 38. Use a table, rollerstand, etc. as support when working with long workpieces, so that the machine does not tip over.

  • Page 13 Cutting Cutting with the blade at an angle of 0° When cutting workpieces up to 120 mm wide, the sliding feature of the saw is not needed and the saw can be locked in its back setting with the locking wheel (14). When cutting workpieces wider than 120 mm, check that the locking wheel (14) is loosened and that the saw head (4) is moveable before beginning to cut. 1. Release the saw head (4) to its upper setting by removing the stop (16). 2. Move the saw head (4) backwards with the handle (2) and fix it in this position if needed (depending on the width of the workpiece being cut.) 3. Place the workpiece being cut against the fence (7) on the mitre plate (8). 4. Fasten it with the clamp (19) to the bottom plate to prevent the workpiece from giving way during the cutting. 5. Press the power switch (3) to start the motor, press the release lever and calmly and evenly bring down the handle (2) and let the saw blade cut the workpiece. 6. After finishing cutting: Release the power switch (3) and when the motor has stopped, the saw head (4) can be brought to its upper position. Caution: The balance springs of the machine will automatically press the saw head upwards after cutting. Thus, do not release the handle (2) after finishing cut- ting, hold the handle and brake carefully when the saw head springs upwards.
  • Page 14 Cutting with the blade at an angle of 0° - 45° You can cut at an angle of 0°- 45° with this saw. 1. Loosen the locking lever (13) after which the blade can be leaned in the desired angle with the help of the scale (15). 2. Pull the locking lever (13) tight. 3. Cut according to the directions above. Fine-tuning of the 0° and 45° angles 1. Loosen the locking lever (13) and angle to saw towards position 0°. 2. Verify the angle between the blade and the saw table with a 90° angle guide. 3. If needed, adjust the bottom position with the adjustment screw (24) by loosening the nut and adjusting the screw, fix the screw after the adjustment by tightening the nut again. 4.   • Page 15 Mitre sawing - 45° / 0° / + 45° You can mitre saw with this saw at an angle of - 45° / 0° / + 45°. 1. Release the saw head (4) to its upper position by removing the stop (16). 2. Release the locking wheel (10). 3. Press the stop (26) and adjust to the desired mitre angle by using the scale (12). 4. Tighten the locking wheel (10) and cut according to the directions above.

    Sawing of curved workpieces When cutting flat items, it is necessary to check if the item is bent. Turn it as in the left illustration shows, otherwise the item will pinch the blade at the end of the cutting. Incorrect Correct Dust bag The saw contains a dust bag (23). It can be emptied by opening the zipper at the bottom. You may also use dust suction. Replacing the saw blade 1. Unplug the power cord. 3. Loosen the screws (21) and fold away the blade guard (6). 2. Remove the stop (16) and release the saw head carefully.

Press the spindle lock (17) with one hand and turn the blade with the other until the blade is locked, keep the spindle lock pressed and use a key to loosen the blade bolt (turn clockwise). 5. Remove the blade bolt and the outer blade flange completely. 6. Remove the saw blade from the inner blade flange and take out the saw blade. 7. Install the new saw blade in the opposite order. 8. Be careful to clean the blade flange and bolt before installing. The rotation direction of the saw blade must correspond to the arrow on the saw house. 9. Install the sliding blade guard (6) in the opposite order. 10. Make sure that the spindle lock is released. 11. Check that all covers are correctly installed and functioning well before the saw is started. Note: The spindle has a diameter of 16 mm and an inset ring is installed together with the original blade which has an inside diameter of 30 mm – Blades with both 16 and 30 mm inside diameter can be used. Caution: Always make sure that the blade runs freely in all possible settings after you have replaced the saw blade. Caution: Remove the key and loosen the spindle lock before the machine is started.
  • Page 18 Inspection and replacement of carbon brushes Caution: Unplug the power cord before inspecting the carbon brushes. The life expectancy of the carbon brushes varies depending on the usage of the motor. Check them after 50 machine hours if the saw is new or if you have replaced the brushes. After the first inspection, check them after every tenth machine hour until it is time for new brushes. Check the brushes in the following manner 1. Remove the two lids (18), one on each side of the motor. 2. The carbon brushes are placed inside the lids, pull out the carbon brushes. 3. Check the length of the brushes (at least 6 mm). 4. Replace both carbon brushes if either one is below 6 mm or if any spring or shunt thread is burnt or damaged in any way. Min. length 6 mm...
  • Page 19 Fault localization when there is a problem with the motor 1. To avoid overheating the motor, you should regularly blow the machine clean or vacuum it so that sawdust and shavings do not affect the cooling. 2. Connect the saw to an earthed outlet with at least a 10 A fuse. 3. Immediately release the power switch if the motor does not start right up. Unplug the power cord, check that the blade runs freely; try starting the motor again if it runs freely. 4. If the motor stops during sawing: Immediately release the power switch and unplug the power cord, release the blade from the workpiece, then try to start the motor again. 5. Check connections, overload (several units connected to the same circuit, spotlights, etc.), range (at least 1.5 mm² up to 7 metre length, at least 2 mm² at 7 to 15 metres length), cable length (no more than 15 metres.)   • Page 24 Katkaisu- ja jiirisahan erityisiä turvallisuusohjeita Huomio! Irrota pistoke seinästä ennen huoltoa tai terän vaihtoa. Varmista, että kaikki osat toimivat moitteettomasti ja että kaikki turvalaitteet ja suojat ovat kunnossa ennen sahan käynnistämistä! 1. Huomio! Käytä ainoastaan katkaisuteriä. Varmista, että kovametalliterissä on negatiivinen hammastus. Älä käytä teriä, joiden hampaiden välit ovat syviä, sillä ne saattavat taipua ja joutua kosketuksiin teräsuojuksen kanssa. Viallinen terä tulee vaihtaa välittömästi! 2. Älä käytä sahaa ennen kuin se on täysin koottu käyttöohjeiden mukaisesti. Varmista moottorin ja terän pyörimissuunta (katso teräsuojuksen pyörimissuunnan osoittavaa nuolta). Varmista, ettei terä kosketa pyörimispöytää missään asennossa. Irrota pistoke ja kallista terää manuaalisesti 45 ja 90 asteen kulmiin. Säädä teräosaa tarvittaessa. 3. Kysy neuvoa joltain osaavalta henkilöltä, jos olet epävarma sahan käytöstä. 4. Älä sahaa vapaalla kädellä. Kiinnitä sahattava materiaali kunnolla ennen sahauksen aloittamista! Jos sahattava materiaali vaatii, että kätesi on oltava lähempänä materiaalia kuin 10 cm, tulee materiaali kiinnittää puristimilla tms. ennen sahausta. 5. Huomio! Älä laita käsiä terän lähelle. Älä sahaa pieniä paloja. Käytä työnnintä! 6. Varmista, että terä on keskitetty oikein, että se on terävä ja että se pyörii vapaasti ilman tärinää. 7. Anna moottorin kiihtyä täysille kierroksille ennen sahauksen aloittamista.
  • Page 25 17. Varmista, että terä pääsee pyörimään vapaasti (erityisesti kuljetuksen ja/tai terän vaihdon jälkeen) ennen pistokkeen liittämistä pistorasiaan ja sahan käynnistämistä. 18. Älä lukitse virtakytkintä ON-asentoon. 19. Tärkeää! Kun olet leikannut materiaalin kokonaan: Päästä virtakytkin ja odota että terä on lakannut pyörimästä ennen kuin nostat teräosaa. 20. Päästä virtakytkin ja odota että terä on pysähtynyt ennen kuin siirrät materiaalia tai muutat säätöjä. 21. Älä poista jumittuneita tai sahautuneita paloja ennen kuin terä on pysähtynyt. 22. Älä sahaa rautapitoisia metalleja, tiiliä tai laastia. 23. Älä käytä sahaa jos läheisyydessä on helposti syttyviä kaasuja tai nesteitä. 24. Älä puhdista muoviosia liuotinaineilla. Liuotinaineet voivat syövyttää muovia tai vahingoittaa materiaalia muilla tavoin. Käytä puhdistamiseen ainoastaan pehmeää, kostutettua liinaa. 25. Irrota pistoke ja puhdista saha käytön jälkeen. Huolehdi, että työtaso on siivottu kun lopetat työt. 26. Säästä tämä käyttöohje. Lueskele sitä usein ja neuvo myös muita. Älä pysäytä liikkuvaa terää painamalla sitä millään esineellä sahan sammuttamisen jälkeen. 34. Käytä ainoastaan tässä käyttöohjeessa ilmoitettuja sahanteriä. 35. Muista varmistaa, että terää suojaavat suojukset toimivat moitteettomasti. 36. Älä lukitse suojusta auki-tilaan äläkä pura koneen suojuksia tai muuta niiden toimintoja. Älä käytä viallisia tai puutteellisia suojalaitteita, vaan vaihda ne välittömästi! 37. Pidä käsiäsi niin, että ne eivät osu terään, mikäli menetät tasapainosi. Älä sahaa puukappaleita, mikäli ne ovat niin pieniä, ettei niitä pysty kiinnittämään turvallisesti. 38. Käytä pöytää, rullatukea tms. kun työskentelet pitkän puutavaran kanssa, muuten vaarana on sahan kaatuminen.
  • Page 26 39. Kiinnitä pyöreät puukappaleet sopivilla puristimilla jotta ne eivät lähde pyörimään. 40. Sahattavassa puutavarassa ei saa olla nauloja tai muita vieraita esineitä. 41. Seiso aina terän sivulla sahatessasi, jotta terä ei osu sinuun, mikäli se hajoaa. 42. Paina sahattava puukappale kiinni pöytään ja suojukseen, jotta se ei pääse liikkumaan sahauksen aikana. 43. Älä sahaa useita kappaleita samanaikaisesti. 44. Älä yritä poistaa puruja, lastuja tai muita juuttuneita kappaleita terän pyöriessä. Sammuta saha ja irrota pistoke aina ennen koneen säätämistä ja juuttuneiden osien poistamista. 45. Sammuta saha ja irrota pistoke aina ennen koneen säätämistä, puhdistamista tai työkappaleen mittausta. 46. Sammuta moottori ja irrota pistoke ennen kun poistut sahan luota. 47. Sähköasennukset, korjaukset ja huolto tulee jättää ammattilaiselle. 48. Kaikki suojat ja turvalaitteet tulee kiinnittää takaisin välittömästi korjauksen tai huollon jälkeen. 49. Valmistajan turvallisuus-, käyttö- ja huolto-ohjeita tulee noudattaa. Noudata myös teknisissä tiedoissa mainittuja sahauskappaleiden suurimpia mittoja. 50. Viranomaisten sääntöjen ja muiden yleisten turvallisuussääntöjen noudattaminen on erittäin tärkeää. 51. Käytä suljetussa huoneessa alipaineen välttämiseksi aina pölynpoistoa, mikäli huoneessa on poistoilmaliitäntä. 52. Liitä saha 230V:n pistorasiaan, sulakkeen tulee olla vähintään 10 A. 53. Viallisten turvalaitteiden ja osien korjaaminen tulee jättää valtuutetulle huoltoliikkeelle. 54. Tämä saha on kaikkien olennaisten turvamääräysten mukainen. Laite tulee korjata valtuutetussa huoltoliikkeessä. Sahan saa korjata vain ammattilainen ja korjauksessa tulee käyttää alkuperäisosia. Näiden ohjeiden noudattamatta jättäminen saattaa johtaa onnettomuuksiin ja aiheuttaa vaaraa käyttäjälle.

  • Page 31 Sahaus Sahaus kulman ollessa 0° Sahan vetotoimintoa ei tarvita puukappaleen ollessa alle 120 mm leveä ja saha voi olla lukittuna taka-asentoon lukitusnupilla (14). Kun sahaat yli 120 mm:n levyisiä puukappaleita, tulee varmistaa, että lukitusnuppi (14) on vapautettu ja että teräosa (4) liikkuu ennen sahauksen aloittamista. 1. Päästä teräosa (4) yläasentoon vetämällä lukitus (16) ulos. 2. Vie teräosa (4) taaksepäin kahvan (2) avulla ja kiinnitä se tähän asentoon tarvittaessa (riippuen puukappaleen leveydestä). 3. Sijoita sahattava puukappale sahauspöydän (8) suojaa (7) vasten. 4. Kiinnitä se puristimella (19) pohjalevyyn estääksesi puukappaleen irtoamisen sahattaessa. 5. Käynnistä moottori virtakytkimellä (3), paina vapautuskahvaa (1) ja paina kahva (2) tasaisesti ja rauhallisesti ja anna sahan sahata puukappale. 6. Kun olet valmis: Päästä virtakytkin (3) ja vie teräosa (4) yläasentoon moottorin pysähdyttyä. Huomio! Sahan tasapainotusjousi painaa teräosan ylös sahauksen jälkeen. Tämän vuoksi kahvaa (2) ei saa päästää sahauksen päätyttyä, vaan kahvasta tulee pitää kiinni ja jarruttaa hieman teräosan noustessa ylös.
  • Page 32 Sahaus kulman ollessa 0° - 45° Sahauskulma on säädettävissä 0°- 45°. 1. Irrota lukituskahvaa (13), jolloin terää voidaan kallistaa haluttuun kulmaan asteikon (15) avulla. 2. Kiristä lukituskahvaa (13) lukitaksesi terän. 3. Sahaa yllä olevien ohjeiden mukaisesti. Kulmien 0° ja 45° hienosäätö 1. Irrota lukituskahvaa (13) ja kallista terä päätyasentoon 0°. 2. Varmista terän ja sahauspöydän välinen kulma 90°:n kulmamitalla. 3. Säädä asentoa tarvittaessa säätöruuvilla (24) avaamalla mutteria ja säätämällä ruuvia. Kiinnitä ruuvi säädön jälkeen kiristämällä mutteri uudelleen. 4. Tee 45°:een säätö samalla tavalla, mutta säädä säätöruuvilla (25) ja käytä 45°:een kulmamittaa.
  • Page 33 Jiirisahaus - 45° / 0° / + 45° Sahalla voidaan jiirsahata kulmissa -45° / 0° / +45°. 1. Päästä teräosa (4) yläasentoon vetämällä lukitus (16) ulos. 2. Irrota lukitusnuppia (10) . 3. Paina lukitus (26) alas ja säädä haluttu jiirikulma asteikolla (12). 4. Kiristä lukitusnuppia (10) ja sahaa yllä olevien ohjeiden mukaisesti.
  • Page 34 Kaarevien kappaleiden sahaus Litteää puutavaraa sahattaessa tulee tarkastaa, onko puu taipunut. Käännä se kuvan 36 osoittamalla tavalla. Muuten puu tarttuu terään sahauksen lopussa. Väärin Oikein Purupussi Sahassa on purupussi (23). Purupussi tyhjennetään avaamalla pohjan vetoketju. Pölynpoistoliitäntä voidaan liittää myös pölynpoistoon. Sahanterän vaihtaminen 1. Irrota pistoke verkkovirrasta. 3. Irrota pultti (21) ja taita teränsuojus (6) pois tieltä. 2. Irrota lukitus (16) ja päästä teräosa varovaisesti.

Paina karan lukkoa (17) toisella kädellä ja käännä terää toisella kädellä kunnes terä lukittuu, pidä karan lukkoa painettuna ja avaa teräpultti avaimella (käännä myötäpäivään). 5. Irrota teräpultti ja ulompi terälaippa kokonaan. 6. Irrota terä sisemmästä terälaipasta ja poista terä. 7. Asenna uusi terä käänteisessä järjestyksessä. 8. Puhdista terälaippa ja kiinnityspultti huolellisesti ennen asentamista. Terän pyörimissuunnan tulee vastata teräosassa olevaa nuolta. 9. Asenna liikkuva teräsuojus (6) käänteisessä järjestyksessä. 10. Varmista, että karan lukko on vapautettu. 11. Varmista, että kaikki suojat on asennettu oikein ja toimivat kunnolla ennen sahan käynnistämistä. Huom! Karan halkaisija on 16 mm ja siihen on asennettu sisusrengas alku- peräisterän (sisähalkaisija 30 mm) kanssa. Sahaan sopivat myös terät, joiden sisähalkaisija on 16 tai 30 mm. Huomio! Varmista aina terän vaihtamisen jälkeen, että terä pyörii esteettä jokaisessa säätöasennossa! Huomio! Poista avaimet ja työkalut ja vapauta karan lukko ennen koneen käynnistämistä!
  • Page 36 Hiiliharjojen tarkastaminen ja vaihtaminen Huomio! Irrota pistoke ennen hiiliharjojen tarkastamista. Hiiliharjojen ikä riippuu moottorin kuormittamisesta. Tarkasta harjat 50 tunnin käytön jälkeen tai jos saha on uusi tai siinä on uudet harjat. Ensimmäisen tarkastuskerran jälkeen harjat tulee tarkastaa 10 käyttötunnin välein kunnes on aika vaihtaa uudet harjat. Harjat tarkastetaan seuraavasti: 1. Poista kumpikin kansi (18), (yksi moottorin molemmin puolin). 2. Hiiliharjat ovat kannen sisäpuolella, irrota hiiliharjat. 3. Tarkista hiiliharjojen pituus (vähintään 6 mm) 4. Vaihda kumpikin hiiliharja samanaikaisesti, vaikka vain toinen hiiliharjoista olisi alle 6 mm, tai mikäli jokin jousista tai ohituslangoista on palanut tai vioittunut. Minimipituus 6 mm...
  • Page 37 Moottoriongelmien vianhaku 1. Vältä moottorin ylikuumenemista puhaltamalla tai imuroimalla moottori puhtaaksi säännöllisin väliajoin. Tällä tavoin estetään pölyn ja purujen aiheuttama jäähdytyksen heikkeneminen. 2. Liitä saha maadoitettuun pistorasiaan, jossa on vähintään 10 A:n hidas sulake. 3. Päästä liipaisin/virtakytkin välittömästi, mikäli saha ei käynnisty heti. Irrota pistoke, varmista terän esteetön pyöriminen ja käynnistä saha uudelleen, mikäli terä pyöri esteettä. 4. Mikäli saha pysähtyy sahauksen aikana: Päästä välittömästi liipaisin/virtakytkin ja irrota pistoke. Irrota terä puukappaleesta ja yritä käynnistää saha uudelleen. 5. Tarkista liitännät, ylikuormitus (useita laitteita samalla sulakkeella, esim. valonheitin ym.), johdinala (1,5 mm² 0 - 7 metrin johdot, 2 mm² 7 - 15 metrin johdot), ja kaapelin pituus (ei yli 15 m).
