then switch on the appliance by pressing the on/off switch (5).

you can adjust the speed and thus the purification rate (volume per hour) by
pressing the speed level selector switch (6) (one blue lamp for level 1, two
blue lamps for level 2, etc.).

you can use the timer to set the desired cleaning time. to do this, press on
the timer button (7). you can choose between the following periods: 2 hours,
4 hours or 8 hours. if you do not wish to use the timer, you may run the air
purifier in continuous operation (no led lamps illuminated).

if you find the lamps too bright (in a bedroom for example), you may reduce
the light intensity by pressing the night mode button (9). the night mode can
be switched off by pressing the button once again.

you may use the Viktor air purifier to distribute fragrances in the room.
Please be as economical as possible in the use of fragrances, because ex-
cessive quantities may lead to malfunctions and damage to the appliance.
to use fragrances, remove the fragrance container (10) from its mounting.
Place no more than 1-2 drops of fragrance in the container and replace it in
its designated position. if you wish to change the fragrance, you can wash
out the fragrance container and fleece under running water.

Cleaning the filter

Prior to any maintenance work and after each use, switch off the appliance
and withdraw the adaptor from the socket.
never immerse in water (risk of short circuit).
external surfaces should only be wiped off with a damp cloth and then
dried well.
the preliminary filter can be cleaned carefully with a vacuum cleaner. the
filter should be changed at 6-month intervals.
Fine particles, viruses and bacteria accumulate in the hPP filter over the
course of time. you should therefore wash out this filter under cold run-
ning water at 2-month intervals. the filter should then be allowed to dry
outside the appliance. you may refit the filter when no water drops are
visible inside.
the activated charcoal filter cannot be cleaned and should be replaced at
intervals of no more than 6 months. A space in which to record the date
is printed on the activated charcoal filter. Please enter the filter
fitting date. Six months after the recorded date, replace the acti-
vated charcoal and preliminary filters. The Combi Filter Pack V-010
is available from your household appliance dealer for this purpose.
Repairs/disposal
repairs to electrical appliances must only be carried out by a qualified
electrical technician. if improper repairs are carried out, the guarantee
lapses and all liability is refused.
never operate the appliance if the adaptor or plug is damaged, after it has
malfunctioned, if it has been dropped or has been damaged in any other
way (cracks/breaks in the casing).
do not push any object into the appliance. do not disassemble the puri-
fier.
if the appliance is beyond repair, make it unusable immediately and hand
it in at the collection point provided for the purpose.
do not dispose of electrical appliances in the domestic waste. Please use
the communal collection points.
