Display warnings
Problem
The alarm symbol ;
flashes in the
display.
The alarm sounds
and the power
failure symbol t
appears in the
display.
The temperature
display will show the
warmest
temperature
recorded in the
freezer during the
power cut or
interruption to the
power supply.
Cause
The temperature in the
freezer has risen higher or
fallen lower than the
temperature which has
been set. This could be due
to:
– the door being opened
too frequently.
– a large quantity of fresh
food being placed in the
freezer at once without
switching on the Super
freeze function.
– a lengthy interruption of
the power supply.
The temperature in the
appliance in the previous
days or hours has risen too
high because of a power
cut or interruption to the
power supply.
The appliance will go back
to the last temperature
setting when the power is
back on.
Problem solving guide
Remedy
^ Rectify the cause of the
alarm. The alarm symbol
; goes out. The audible
alarm stops.
Depending on the
temperature in the
freezer, you should check
the condition of the food.
If food has defrosted or
started to defrost, check
that it is still safe to use
and if so, use it as quickly
as possible. Defrosted
food may only be
re-frozen after it has been
cooked.
^ Touch the alarm off
sensor.
The warmest temperature
display will go out. The
display will then revert to
showing the current
temperature in the freezer.
^ Depending on the
temperature displayed,
you should check the
condition of food in the
freezer. If it has defrosted
or started to defrost,
check that it is still safe to
use and, if so, use it as
soon as possible.
Defrosted food may only
be re-frozen after it has
been cooked.
