Measure the acid conductivity in the form
of the hydrogen ion concentration con-
tinuously in the same manner as the con-
ductivity in hydrogen form, after the sam-
ple has gone through a severely acidic
ion exchanger with a volume of 1.5 l.
The exchanger is inserted into a cylinder
with a diameter:height ratio of 1:3 or less,
whereby the exchanger medium takes
up at least three quarters of the cylinder
volume.
Regenerate the ion exchanger when it
has been exhausted by two thirds. This
can be recognised when using an
exchanger with colour indicator and
transparent cylinder.
