Cleaning the economiser heating surfaces

Commissioning, inspection, maintenance
1. Clean flues A, flame tube B and
reversing chamber with pneumatic
cleaner and remove combustion res-
idues.
2. Remove combustion residues from
the flue pipe and the flue outlet.

1. Remove combustion residues via
C
cleaning aperture A or drain clean-
ing water via drain connector B on
the flue gas collector.
2. Clean heat exchanger surfaces
through cleaning aperture C with
pressure lances or, in the case of
severe contamination with feedwater.
In the case of wet cleaning always
ensure that the exchanger surfaces
are at almost identical temperatures
to the feedwater to prevent thermal
stresses and thermal shocks.
