2.1 Power Supply Configuration

This section describes the power supply configuration on the S5700.
PoE Power Supply
The downlink electrical interfaces of S5700 PoE switches provide PoE power. Each interface
provides a maximum of 30 W power and supports a maximum of 100 m power supply distance.
The S5700 can transmit both current and data on a pair of signal cables.
Power supply units of S5700 PoE switches can be swappable or built-in.
Swappable PoE power supply units are classified in to 500 W and 250 W.

Currently, the following S5700 switches support swappable PoE power supply units:
S5700-48TP-PWR-SI, S5700-52C-PWR-EI, S5700-24TP-PWR-SI, and S5700-28C-PWR-EI.
These switches support both swappable 500 W PoE power supply units and swappable 250 W
PoE power supply units. The power supply configurations are shown in the following table.
