2.8.1 Functions

RPS1800 is a redundant power supply unit for a switch when the internal power supply unit of
the switch fails.
RPS1800 provides the following functions:

Applications
RPS1800 can provide power supply for S5700-28P-LI-AC, S5700-28P-LI-DC, S5700-52P-LI-
AC, S5700-52P-LI-DC, S5700S-28P-LI-AC, S5700S-52P-LI-AC, S5700-28P-PWR-LI-AC,
and S5700-52P-PWR-LI-AC.

Provides power backup for a maximum of six network devices, and can take over power
supply for one device when its internal power supply unit fails.
Stops power supply when the faulty internal power of the switch recovers.
Connects to two 800 W swappable 48 V power supply units.
Provides 800 W PoE for two switches concurrently after software configuration.
Supports the setting of port priorities.
