3-7 Flash Button
The Flash button will work in the Capture mode ONLY. Press the
Flash button continuously to select the desired flash mode.

3-8 Display Button
The Display button works in the Capture mode to bring up the
quick menu items in the Capture mode. Press this button to
scroll through the following options:
Standard display → Full display → Image only display → LCD
monitor OFF → Operation settings display only → Standard
In addition, the Display button can also access the Playback
mode even when the camera's power is switched to OFF. Please
note that this can ONLY be done in the Playback mode.
When your camera has been automatically powered OFF due to
auto-power off feature, you can press the Display button to
restore camera's power and continue to take pictures or videos.
3-9 Macro Mode Switch
Use the Macro mode switch to select whether you want to
take a picture at close up range. Once you select the Macro
mode, the green LED located on the top of the LCD monitor
will lit.

Note: Even if the flash is set to auto, it will not fire when
camera is set to Macro mode, because you do not need the
flash to take a close up picture. A close-up shot with the flash
may result in extremely overexposed images.

Prepare Your Camera
5-1 Attaching the Wrist Strap
Insert the thin end of strap into the strap holder.
.
Pass the other end of strap through the loop.
Stretch the strap tightly.
5-2 Inserting the Batteries
First turn the camera's power to OFF.
Open the battery compartment door by sliding the battery cover
in the direction indicated by the arrow.
Note the battery polarity on the inside of the cover.
Insert two new AA alkaline batteries or fresh rechargeable
batteries into the battery compartment.
