3. A USB icon will appear on the LCD and begin to blink. At this time,
connect the smaller end of the USB connector to your StyleCam
Extreme camera, and connect the larger end of the USB connector
to the USB port on your PC.
4. Launch ArcSoft VideoImpression by clicking Start → Programs →
ArcSoft → ArcSoft VideoImpression 1.6
5. Click on "New" and then "Capture" to record live video.

Video Conferencing with Instant Messaging Applications
The StyleCam Extreme is compatible with popular instant
messaging programs such as MSN Messenger, Microsoft
NetMeeting and Yahoo! Instant Messenger. Please follow
the instructions below to use video conferencing feature.
1. Turn the Mode Selector to PC mode.
2. Power ON the camera by sliding the lens cover/power switch to
the left.
3. The LCD will display Mass Storage and PC Camera, select
PC Camera and press the MENU/OK button.
4. A USB icon will appear on the LCD and begin to blink. At
this time, connect the smaller end of the USB connector to
your StyleCam Extreme camera, and connect the larger end of
the USB connector to the USB port on your PC.
5. Launch your preferred instant messaging program and
begin video conferencing.

6-6 TV Output Mode

The TV Output feature allows you to view images and video
on a TV set. Please follow the instructions below:
1. Select the correct video type (US is NTSC, EU/Asia is
PAL) for the connected device before transferring images.
Turn the Mode Selector to Setup mode and scroll to "TV
standard". Use the arrow buttons to select "NTSC" or
"PAL".
2. Use a video cable to connect the camera and TV.
3. Once you power on the camera and the TV set, the
images should now appear on the TV. No images will be
shown on the camera's LCD monitor.
4. You run the images using the "Auto Play" feature and view
a slideshow of your pictures on TV.
